Statement of Faith

At Destiny Fellowship Church, we believe that Jesus Christ is the center of our faith, the foundation of our salvation, and the source of our hope. We are committed to the authority of God's Word, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the mission of making disciples who live for the glory of God.

1. The Bible

We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God. It is our ultimate guide for faith, Christian living, doctrine, and conduct.
2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 4:12

2. One True God

We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit . He is the Creator, Sustainer, and Lord of all creation.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14

3. Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will come again in glory. We believe that salvation is found through Jesus Christ alone.
John 1:1–14; Matthew 1:20–23; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 4:12

4.The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is fully God and works in the lives of believers. The Holy Spirit convicts’ people of sin, brings new life, lives within believers, guides, teaches, strengthens, and empowers God's people to live holy and effective Christian lives.
John 14:16–17, 26; John 16:8–13; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22–23

5. Humanity and Sin

We believe that every person is created in the image of God and has inherent dignity and value. However, because of sin, humanity is separated from God and needs redemption and reconciliation through Jesus Christ. Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23

6. Salvation

We believe that salvation is God's gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. No person can earn salvation through good works. Through repentance and faith in Christ, we receive forgiveness of sins, become children of God, and receive eternal life.
John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10; Acts 2:38

7. The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. The Church exists to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, serve others, encourage believers, and demonstrate God's love to the world.
Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 4:11–16

8. Water Baptism and Communion

We believe in water baptism as an important act of obedience and a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. We also believe in the Lord's Supper as a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice and a proclamation of His death until He comes again. Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3–4; Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26

9. Christian Living

We believe Christians are called to live lives that reflect the character of Jesus Christ. We are called to walk in love, holiness, humility, integrity, forgiveness, compassion, and obedience to God's Word.
Micah 6:8; Matthew 5:16; Galatians 5:22–25; Colossians 3:12–17

10. Prayer and Worship

We believe prayer is essential to our relationship with God and that worship belongs to God alone. We are called to worship God in spirit and truth, both individually and together as His people.
Matthew 6:6–13; John 4:23–24; 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

11. The Mission of the Church

We believe every believer is called to participate in the Great Commission by sharing the Gospel, making disciples, serving the community, caring for the vulnerable, and demonstrating the love of Christ. At Destiny Fellowship Church, we desire to be a church that reaches people, restores lives, raises disciples, and releases people into their God-given destiny.
Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8

12. The Return of Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and gloriously. We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the eternal life promised to all who belong to Christ.
John 14:1–3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 21:1–4
